This is the monthly budget we have set ourselves for 2012. The total is equal to the amount Mr BB earns monthly. As Mr BB is paid monthly we have decided to record our expenses per calendar month instead of 4-4-5 week months. To find the monthly amounts we have simply - yearly/12 or weekly*52/12 to give us the amount we need to put aside each month for these expenses.
**We have kept a couple of line items open like train/parking even though we now hardly use the train. But if we make a trip to the city we can recharge our GOcards or pay for parking.
Another is electricity. We now have Solar Power and we produce enough to run the house and feed back to the grid that we should not see another bill.
We may also in the future start Life and Medical insurance so I have left these lines in the budget.
Also some of Miss BB's expenses are weekly, however they are not for 52 weeks of the year due to school holidays. I have still kept them as weekly to also cover things like registration for gym and guides and any piano books etc.
We are also renovating our garden so I have included a line item for plants etc and there is a line item for house maintainence. We think that we will need to do some painting around the house this year so that should cover paint.**
